School Event: Zahra visits Blue Peter

25 February 2009

I was chosen to go to Blue Peter and interview Andy one of the presenters. We travelled down to London in a special BBC car.

The Blue Peter Garden was first launched on the 21st of March 1974. There, we met this kind lady and she told us about her job here at Blue Peter: she looks after the Blue Peter dogs.

The cameras were filming tomorrow’s episode of the show about bees. Apparently, Honey and Bumble bees are dying out.

I would like to thank Mrs Sperring for accompanying me, she was great company and gave me lots of support. She said she has watched Blue Peter since she was alittle girl and this was one of the most exciting days she has ever had!

My interview was shown on Midland Today as part of their School Report section.
