School Event: Year 3 at the Lickey Hills

June 2009

We had an incredible time at the Lickey hills our topic was about habitats. We learnt about three different pinecones, they were all different from each other there was one that was spiky one that was small one that was big. There was three different habitats one was called heathland, deciduous Woodland and evergreen woodland.

All the animals in heathland were grass snakes, lizards and spiders that was their habitat. The animals that lived in the woodland were rats, mice and squirrel. The animals that lived in evergreen were creatures like birds and rabbits. Emma was our ranger she taught us about the Lickey hills she lead us to the evergreen forest. She taught us so much about the Lickey hills. We had to draw a beautiful view of the Lickey hills and we had to draw trees and we picked some pine cones.

After lunch we went to a shop in the Lickey hills and we bought ice creams and we bought toys and we had a lot of fun at the Lickey hills and that was our trip to the Lickey hills.
