  • CBBC Safe Surfing - The important things to remember when you're surfing the net.
  • Childnet International - What parents and children need to know about keeping safe whilst using the internet or a mobile phone.
  • Child Safety - The Children's Safety Education Foundation - a source of child safety information for the UK.
  • Hector's World - Internet safety for Key Stage 1 and lower Key Stage 2. Best used with adult alongside child to discuss issues.
  • Kidsmart - A practical internet safety programme website for schools, young people and parents.
  • Thinkuknow - Gives advice and tips to young people and parents on how to stay safe online and when using mobile phones.

Resources for Children

  • 2 Simple Software - the children can access this from home, and use two programs we have in school - 2simple city and 2type. Username and password required.
  • Basic Reading Skills - Bricks and Mortar: Basic Reading Skills from Project HappyChild.
  • Children's Poetry Archive - The Poetry Archive has been set up to make new recordings of poetry so that they can be heard by everyone.
  • Design Technology - A very extensive site from Coxhoe Primary School.
  • Education City - Online learning resource used in school and available for Arden's children to use at home once they are registered by the school for a small annual cost of £2.00.
  • Food: A Fact of Life - Supporting primary school children learning about where their food comes from and how it is farmed.
  • Geography Resources - Resources for Geography as part of Enchanged Learning site.
  • Google Earth - Google Earth lets you fly anywhere on Earth to view satellite imagery, maps, terrain, 3D buildings and even explore galaxies in the Sky.
