Creative Arts

"I love dancing and the best thing in dancing for me is planning our dance steps, practicing and then showing we can dance. We love having fun in our different teams every week. Our teacher is helpful and all our teams are co-operative and kind." - Maewish, Y6 "I like dance with Mrs Parveen. We get to make our own Dance steps and then we perform which is the fun part. We all work as a team. I think that is more important than anything. "In creative Friday we paint. Doing painting is lots of fun and it is interesting. "I like this group because we draw and make animals and learn the steps to make the animal or picture. I liked making the Eid cards. I liked drawing a mosque and writing a poem to my mum." - Shemraz, Y5 "I enjoyed colouring the Islamic patterns. I learnt how to sketch, step by step. It was hard but it then became easier. I made Eid cards, it was good. I liked doing this a lot. I made pop-up cards that popped up a little bit. I enjoy this a lot, it is good." - Sehrish, Y4 Cross Stitch 
"I enjoy cross stitching because it is peaceful and we have music to entertain us. Cross stitching can be difficult at times. I also like doing double threads and learning something new. We also have a generous teacher who helps us stitch our bookmarks." - Fawzia, Y4 "I enjoy cross stitching because it is something new I have learned in Creative Friday. Positivity

"I am in the card making group with Miss Jones. The thing that I like about it is that every week there is always a really good card to make." - Aliyah, Y5 "I am in Miss Jones’ card making group. "We have enjoyed making the food and also tasting it. We also liked it because we could share skills and co-operate. "I like my fitness group because we can get fit. To be fit you need to exercise and eat healthy food not food containing fat. I like it that we do a little bit of a warm up and then we start to play a game like football or cricket." - Suhail, Y6 "My Creative Friday group is fitness. It is really fun because we get to play different activities like football, catching and other activities. I also like it because we get fit. We have done ladder runs, skipping, step ups, touch your toes and many more." - Iqraa, Y4 Puppets 
"I liked it when the audience asked the Red riding Hood puppeteer questions like 'how come you were really naughty and listened to the wolf?'" - Nadia, Y6 "I enjoyed making finger puppets. I liked it when the room was dark with the light on the puppets. I like making the spoon puppets better." - Murtaza, Y4 "I enjoyed the first week best and everyone’s performances of Red Riding Hood. "During Creative Friday we have been learning about animation which means the ages of 2-D or 3-D artwork or model position animation which means the rapid display of a sequence of images in order to create an illusion of movement. The first week we looked at animation on computers where we made short cartoons on 2animate. The second week we made all our pictures together and some people started off their cartoons using Digital Blue. The third week we made plasticine models to move and photograph them to put in the cartoon animation movie." - Amira, Y5 "In Creative Friday we have learnt to make movies on these amazing programs. The programs are called '2animate' and 'Digital Blue Movie Maker.' We used the computers and the Digital Blue Movie Maker." - Ikrah, Y6 Calligraphy
